Botox, Xeomin & Dysport

Botulinum toxin is the name of all the medications which decreases wrinkles. It is often referred to as Botox for short. All are neurotoxins derived from a naturally occurring molecule found in our environment. It was discovered by physicians treating eye issues, when used in small doses wrinkles vanished. 

Since then it's been used to successfully treat: Chronic migraines, Spasticity Disorders seen in Cerebral Palsy & Multiple Sclerosis. 

For cosmetic purposes, Botox injections temporarily reduces the appearance of fine lines and facial wrinkles. The most common areas treated are as seen below left to right: crow's feet, lip flip, forehead and jowl reduction & jawline refinement. It lasts 3 - 6 months depending on the person's metabolism. It is true that people with fast metabolic rates have the wrinkles return in 2 months. 

It should never be used during pregnancy because strong muscle tone keeps the baby safely inside the mother's womb.
